Stay Inspired Knowledge Is Power LLC is motivated and inspired to change the stigma of mental health and addiction through fashion, art and design. It sells shirts, aprons, tumblers and bracelets, speaks in schools, publishes education on substance use, points people toward real help, and funds a scholarship.
Those five things are one thing. A shirt gets someone to ask a question. A talk gives a room the language to answer it. A resource list gives a family a phone number. And a scholarship makes sure a student who grew up in the middle of all of it still gets to finish school.

Meet the founder
Miriam D. Rivera
Miriam D. Rivera is a social worker, mental health advocate, entrepreneur, and mental health speaker dedicated to inspiring others and creating positive change.
She currently works in Child Welfare, where she supports Foster Youth helping them find supportive connections. Miriam is continuing her education in a Master of Social Work (MSW) program and has successfully completed 24 graduate credits toward her degree.
Her passion for mental health advocacy and entrepreneurship led her to establish Stay Inspired Knowledge Is Power, LLC, a purpose-driven brand that uses inspirational merchandise, education, and mental health awareness to encourage others to break the stigma surrounding mental health.
In 2023, Miriam auditioned for ABC’s Shark Tank, an experience that strengthened her entrepreneurial journey and determination to grow a business rooted in purpose and impact. Through her professional work, education, advocacy, and entrepreneurship, Miriam remains committed to empowering others, promoting mental wellness, and reminding people that knowledge, inspiration, and perseverance can create meaningful change.
The name on the fund
William Rivera
Miriam lost her father due to mental health and substance use. The William Rivera Memorial Scholarship Fund carries his name, and it exists for a specific student: the one whose parent lives with a mental illness or a substance use disorder, and who is trying to get through school anyway.
The award is $600. One student has been funded so far. Every product sold moves the next one closer, which is why the merch and the scholarship are not two separate things on this site.

In his daughter's words
My dad, William Rivera, was a loving father whose life and legacy continue to inspire our family. Although he passed away in 2016, the memories, lessons, and love he gave us remain in our hearts every day. His journey inspired me to create the William Rivera Memorial Scholarship Fund, helping students pursue their educational dreams. Through this scholarship, his legacy continues to live on by bringing hope, opportunity, and support to others. 💚
